Centre for Behavioural and System Change

We established the Centre to undertake our ambitious program of research, overseen by our Research Committee.

DISCOVER MORE

Our research seeks to improve policy and practices in areas such as employment services, access to careers for emerging adults, early childhood education and care and youth mental health.

As an Approved Research Institute with Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR) status, we are recognised as an organisation undertaking scientific research which is, or may prove to be, of value to Australia.

The work undertaken by the Centre is overseen by our Research Committee. Find out more about our current research projects.

Our research is underpinned by a Behavioural Insights (BI) approach. This approach involves applying findings from behavioural science to develop and test evidence-based solutions that create better alignment between behaviours and the contexts within which they are performed.

This can include redesigning elements of a system to better capitalise on behavioural enablers and minimise behavioural barriers so that systems better serve their users. Such system redesign can help to increase the uptake of adaptive but uncommon behaviours or to create more favourable consequences for behaviours that are already common.
